Interest groups are groups of people who are not exactly affiliated to political parties or contest elections, but they influence government actions and voice their opinions. They are not directly related to the working of the government and decisions of the government. The interest groups are focused on their interests and goals which are specific. For example- taxes, gun rights and gun control laws, religious issues, and so on. They use methods such as campaigns, lobbying, media campaigns, polls and more in order to keep their issues in front of the government. Policy makers have an important role to play in the judicial system which is to bring important issues to the purview of the judicial system. They help bring awareness to their group members, work for the interest of the public and influence the government to take the right steps.
